Test my game! AKA Why RotW has been neglected

So as some people have pointed out RotW has been neglected as of late. There are many reasons for this, most of which is school. Aside from that, I've been working on a simple game: A remake (of sorts) of the Atari 2600 game Combat. The initial idea was to add online multiplayer, which is still happening, but is not included in this initial beta version. I encourage anyone and everyone to try it out and give me some feedback. Please read readme.txt first, though. All the game data is contained in the id1 folder, I encourage you to play around with it.

Ah, I knew there was something I was forgetting to do.
So I played this.
So, feedback GIVEN MOSTLY IN THE FORM OF COMPLAINTS:
The ol 'only one bullet on screen' determining your rate of fire is probably what the original had but unless you really want that I'd probably avoid it. Personally I think a large time (1-2 secondsish) between shots adds more to it. Maybe have a little reload bar under the tank.
More than two players and more than 1 map would be ideal.
The 'hitbox' on the tank seems a little off when it comes to hitting walls. Rotating in the starting position is a good example of this.
I've seen the AI instantaneously turn 180 degrees.
When turning the tank pivots around your back left corner rather than the middle. Also, I don't know if it's just me but I think it'd be fun to have 5 buttons for the controls. One for each side of the tank forwards and backwards and then one for shooting.
More music would be nice.

As I slowly crept up on my enemy, I realized I had caught it at an awkward moment. It was insta-rotating 90 degrees back and forth because it had not properly avoided an obstacle.
After some time I was finally in the required place and had discovered that I could fire on the enemy with ease!
Once I fired the quad laser there was no escape:

Have you done it yet?

Done what? This game has evolved quite a bit since this post, and is now called "Treads of War". I updated the game a little since the last release to make it better, but nobody really seemed to care so I didn't bother releasing it. MetalKitty666 (who re-did all the art) and I did get to show it off at a convention in early 2014, so that was cool.
